Ahh. This is “THE” Alfa. There is none better! Period. Quite possibly worth $20 million today; of course this owner would ‘never’ sell it. The 1939 Alfa Romeo 2800b 8c short wheelbase roadster. Only 4 made this way. This was purchased from Ralph Lauren as a ‘perfect’ piece, but the owner re-designed certain aspects to make it his own. I would argue that this one is the most beautiful of the 4.

It is mounted onto a composite aluminum plate consisting of two layers of aluminum around a PVC core. The print is adhered to frame grade acrylic glass which enhances the colors and depth of the photograph, this process is called ‘face mount’ and gives a total thickness of less than 1/4”.
The acrylic panel is then fitted in to a black ash solid wood frame, but slightly elevated to give the effect of the panel ‘floating’ within the frame.
